‘A Resting Place’ depicts a rancher returning home at dusk. The time I so frequently recall my dad returning home each day, when he eventually “ran out of daylight”. As he appears in the distance, his wife, amidst her work, spots him and joyfully and longingly awaits him. As he too joyfully and longingly awaits her, his home, for she is his resting place.
