“Dinner Table Prayers”

‘Dinner Table Prayers’ pulls the viewer into a sacred moment, an answered prayer. Growing up in a time of severe drought, my family’s prayers spoken around the table always ended with “and for rain upon our land”. In reflecting on this deeply natural and familiar intertwinement of prayer and work, ‘Ora et Labor’, I envisioned this very scene: my dad, horseback, looking out upon the horizon, seeing an approaching storm, and knowing the Lord had heard our cry.
